The Postal Bulletin is the US Post Office's official source for updates and policy changes.  It is published every 2 weeks.  Military Zip code updates will be listed in the "Other Information" section.  Please check the restrictions for your soldiers zip code frequently.

Having problems finding those pesky priority mail products from the post office?  The below links will take you to the most commonly used items provided by USPS.  Just click on the picture for the item you want, it will open up a new window on the USPS Postal Store page for that product.

General Restrictions for All APO/FPO Addresses

Rule #1 for successful shipping to a APO/FPO, check your restrictions frequently.  As the situation changes in the location where your Zip is based out of, the restrictions will change and be updated.

Packages may not exceed 70 lbs. (Some zip codes have lower limits)

Packages may not exceed 130 inches in combined length and girth. (This means if you have a package that is 100" in length and 40" when you measure around it, you cannot send the item)

All packages must be sent via the U.S. Postal System. The post office also requires companies or individuals to hand deliver packages being sent to APO/FPO addresses. (This is one reason why many merchants won't ship to APO/FPO addresses.)

Firearms, alcohol, perishable foodstuffs and certain hazardous items also are restricted. Each zip code has a more detailed list of the restrictions for certain types of products.
