Messages to show you care

Ever sit down to write a card, and don't know what to say?  We've all suffered those moments of blankness, blank mind and blank paper!  Below you will a collection of verses and text from various greeting cards I have collected over the past few years.  Some were sent to me, some I sent to others and some I found in various greeting cards software packages that I own.  Feel free to copy and paste any of the messages below to use in your own greetings.  Hopefully the information below will help you to "Say it..." with out having to bang your head on a wall when you hit a writing dry spell.

Inside of Card

Thank you for serving our nation. As you work to keep the flame of freedom shining bright, the thoughts and good wishes of a grateful nation are with you.

Safe   Secure    Free It takes more than courage to risk your life for others' lives and property...  It takes deep caring for your country and community...  It takes a hero's heart.   Thank you.

At a troubled time in an uncertain world, in a difficult job, your service to your country shines bright. No words of praise can ever repay your sacrifice, but if anybody deserves special recognition....it's you.

To Honor a Veteran of the Persian Gulf War In the Persian Gulf, you defended freedom and peace with commitment and courage.  In the hearts of the nation you have served, you are remembered today with gratitude and honor.

Everyday heroes go about their routine business of living, laughing and loving.  They make sacrifices, not headlines.  They touch hearts and change lives, have high hopes and low profiles... ...And the admiration of all who recognize them as true heroes.

Courage   Honor   Loyalty There are still people who know what these mean and believe in what they stand for.  They stand for America.  And so do you.

Among the bills, the unwanted coupon flyers, the catalogs you're about to pitch,  you spy the envelope that looks a little different.  Your name is spelled correctly.  It has a real stamp and actual handwriting, handwriting that looks familiar.  You're puzzled.  It's not your birthday, your anniversary, or Christmas.  And then it occurs to you that maybe somebody somewhere sent this just to say hello, just to remind you that you're thought about - really thought about... ...And that person just wanted you to know.

I'm thinking of you today and of how much you mean to me and to everyone who knows you.  You have a reputation for being thoughtful and kind, patient and understanding.  Your gift for making others smile has touched so many lives in so many beautiful ways.

I'm thinking of you today, as I so often do, and hoping to learn from you... hoping that someday I can make other people's lives richer the way you do, hoping to be able to melt someone's frown and replace it with a smile the way you can.

I'm thinking of you today...

...with respect, admiration and a very special smile.

Every morning all the Stupid People you know get together and plan ways to make YOUR life more difficult. Just thought you'd like to know.

Because of friends like you... It's less of a Jungle Out There!

I wish I could tie a yellow ribbon around your whole world, so that everywhere you turned you'd feel encircled by warm support, and everywhere you looked you'd see bright possibilities.

You've had more than your share of gray days lately, and it seems so unfair.  I wish I could blow those dark clouds away.

But what I can do is surround you with caring thoughts - a shiny yellow ribbon of caring thoughts, tied up in a huge hopeful bow...

Maybe, even for a moment, you'll feel wrapped in the sunshine you so deeply deserve.

Some people only worry about getting the best life has to give.

But a few people- special people like you- think it's more important to give life your best.

Some people wait around, hoping good things will come to them; you're working hard to make good things happen.

You're dreaming new dreams, learning new things, and accepting new challenges.

Some people might be afraid of new experiences, of taking risks, but you never let that stop you.  Moment by moment, day by day, you're becoming the person you want to be...

You're someone I admire and someone I'm proud to know.

Maybe you can't always see it.  But I can.  The real you.  The person inside you.  The one with the strength, the courage and the caring heart.

Yes, the real you.  When you look at yourself in the mirror, you probably catch glimpses of worry or self-doubt or not-exactly-perfect.

the truth is, everybody feels that way sometimes!  And that's why I'm inviting you to look through my eyes, instead.

Shut out the critical voice inside you, and listen instead to my description of the you I know so well.

You have a spirit within you that almost shines -  Shines like a light through whatever experience you may be having, no matter how difficult.  And because you have it, you keep on going....

Other's can see it when you can't.  Others notice it more than you think.

Others admire it more than you realize... especially me.
